Chief Technology Officer

Since January 2003, Chief Technology Officer of the webCompetence company, provider of HR intranets and skills management solutions.
- Study and implementation of intranet projects for customers.
- Management of the technical team.
- Implementation on open source technologies (LAMP: Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) and Microsoft (Windows 2003 Server and SQL Server).

Chef de projet Orange
From November 2001 to January 2003, working for the Orange group, French leader on the mobile phone market.
- Study and implementation of web projects OrangeLab and SMS+.
- Studies on new technologies WAP, GPRS, PDA and PocketPC.

Accor Project Manager
Working for the Accor group from June to October 2001, european leader and worldwide group in hotels and services.
Mission for the web division as a project manager on several projects:
- I managed the study for a new web site: I wrote the technical request for proposal and handled proposals from the candidates in the selection process. This mission was partly in French and in English.
- I implemented an intranet site to manage IT projects.
- I participate also to other projects: Accor.com, the information site of the group and AccorTravel.com, the on-line travel agency of the group.

Chronopost Project Manager
Chrono e-liko is a subsidiary of Chronopost. This company manages delivery for B2C web sites. Delivery is done in a window of 2 hours that the end user can select on-line.
Mission from January 2001 to April 2001 as project manager.
- Management of the technical team for study of new features and their development.
- Design and realization of a new web site allowing reservation of delivery for customers (RAPIDO).

Realgarden Project Manager
Mission from May 2000 to January 2001 as project manager. I managed the technical team (6 people). That team is developping the realgarden.fr web site, specialized on gardening. This site contains three parts: a news magazine, a shop and communities.
Application design, database modeling, source code libraries development, implementation of back-offices allowing users to input data into the database.

Wanadoo Project Manager
Wanadoo is the ISP product of France Telecom in several countries: France, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands.
Implemented Wanadoo portals in Wanadoo Lebanon (English mission) and Wanadoo Morocco (French mission) from December 1999 to May 2000.
Conceptualized and designed the portal and its specifications, defined the database.
Managed and supervised a 5-people team who developed the site, tested and approved the developments.
Implemented partnerships with content providers such as AFP, Voila search engine, ODA and Kompass for yellow pages and Wanadoo France.
Audited Wanadoo Slovakia portal in May 2001.

Software Author
Automated display of web pages in a Windows screen saver: Web Screen Saver.
Created software allowing display of web pages on interactive kiosks: Play The Web.
I realized two Interactive Physics CD-ROMs for software vendor Studi: these CD-ROMs are used by college students preparing their baccalaureat exam. They can improve their physics knowledge using numerous simulators.
I implemented these products using Visual Basic. Java applets and web pages integration inside a Windows software. Management of a speaking animated character through MSAgent technology for physics teacher.

Off-line projects
I conceptualized and implemented several application softwares for sales forces of the Henkel France company, 200 people, or the Heineken company, 80 people. Missions from 1995 to 1999.
These softwares, running on laptop computers, are used on a national level by these companies. I directed the feasibility study, the specification and developments of software applications.

Technical skills
- Analysis and design: Merise (CASE) and UML.
- Project management: MSProject.
- Internet: Strong knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XML and Document Object Model (DOM).
- ASP, PHP, ColdFusion, Perl, JavaScript, Java, VBScript and ActiveX programming.
- Microsoft Visual Basic expert in all versions (since 1993).
- Strong knowledge of Windows API.
- SQL language for Oracle, SQLServer and MySQL environments.
- Operating systems: Unix Environments, Solaris and Linux. Windows Environments, all versions.

Initial training
Upper academic initial training: DESS Application Software Engineering (Paris VI), in 1990.
Fluent in English. Mission in Lebanon and Slovakia was fully in English.

Miscellaneous
Freelance software consultant since 1990, 15 years of experience, also in translation, training and articles writing for computer magazines activities.
Member of a non-professional theater group located in Paris and doing regular performances: Le Theatre de Fortune.
I love movies, litterature and travels.
